Job Overview

The Floor Manager is responsible and accountable for the operational aspects for the Berghoff Restaurant and the Berghoff Café during their shift. Overall responsibilities include: leadership of personnel, customer satisfaction and cash handling.

The Floor Manager is responsible and accountable for the operational aspects for the Berghoff Restaurant and the Berghoff Café during their shift. Overall responsibilities include: leadership of personnel, customer satisfaction and cash handling.

Job Responsibilities Include The Following

• Manage all areas of operations including: service, wait staff, bartenders, and café cashiers, while ensuring the BRCD standards of quality, service and operations are maintained.
• Manage operations during scheduled shifts, to include: daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, and, upholding quality product and service standards.
• Follow all company policies regarding sanitation, cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly) and cleaning sheets.
• Ensure proper security and safety procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
• Lead pre-shift meetings.
• Introduce new beers through structured tastings and food pairing suggestions with service staff.
• Manage and control shift Comps and Voids.
• Prepare end of shift reports to monitor all financial, inventory and cash-handling aspects of the operation.
• Understand the POS system utilized by BRCD.
• Sanitation guideline execution
• Ensure shift side-work is completed.
• Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal FOH cleaning is completed.
• Ensure that sanitation report is followed and completed within required intervals.
• Ensure all sanitation tasks are completed with designated cleaning supplies.
• Aim to engage with 25% of tables on the restaurant floor.
• Meet with large group reservation leaders and tour group leaders before service.
• Assist, when needed, at the host stand, expo line and bar, with the goal of assisting staff and building rapport with guests.
• Oversee café operations and private dining set ups and needs.
• Ensure all checklist, inventory sheets, tip sheets and requisition sheets are stocked at all times.
• Ensure host stand requisition is filled weekly.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  
  

Job Requirements

• B.S. in Hospitality or equivalent restaurant experience.
• Must possess a pleasant personality and maintain a neat clean appearance.
• Must communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Must work quickly for long hours.
• Lifts and carries up to 25lbs on a regular basis and over 30 lbs. occasionally.
