Minnesota Manufacturing Recruiting's client operates a CNC machining and metal fabrication facility near Waupaca, WI. The General Manager will own the floor, schedule, quality, people, and P&L, driving on-time deliveries and margins.

You lead from the shop floor, build systems, and ensure safe, disciplined operations. The role demands hands-on problem solving, plant-wide leadership, and collaboration with sales and estimating to align capacity with demand.

Qualifications

• Proven General Manager or Operations Manager experience in CNC/machining or metal fabrication.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC turning/milling and fabrication processes.
• Track record of owning a plant P&L and margins.
• Experience building or running a quality system in a customer-driven shop.
• Strong safety leadership and OSHA awareness.
• Ability to lead, develop, and retain skilled trades.

Responsabilités

• Run day-to-day operations across CNC machining, fabrication, and finishing; manage schedule and on-time delivery.
• Drive throughput, utilization, and capacity planning on multiple cells.
• Own production schedule and flag constraints before missed ship dates.
• Build and maintain safety culture and quality systems; audit-ready.
• Recruit, develop, and retain machinists from a tight labor market.
• Own plant P&L and margin improvement; collaborate with quoting and estimating.
