Job summary

Tessera is seeking a Floor Crew for our Bremerton, WA location (Puget Sound Naval Shipyard). This full-time, on-site role offers a 2:30pm–11:00pm swing shift with a starting rate of $24.07/hour plus a 5% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Prior Floor Crew experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, carpet shampooing, and vacuuming.
• Operate floor care machines and assist with cleaning of various structures.
• Fill and empty mop buckets; mix and manage chemicals as directed.
• Construction clean-up and safe use of PPE; adhere to site regulations.

Compensation: $ 24.0 7 -$ 24.0 7 /hour - the position is eligible for a 5% per hour shift differential.

Tessera is seeking a driven and reliable F loor C rew with a positive and professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform floor care work such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, reconditioning, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, carpet shampooing, and vacuuming.
• Operate floor care machines to include powered pressure washer on various structures (e.g., sidewalks, streets, parking lots, etc.).
• Fill and empty mop buckets.
• Measure and mix chemicals.
• Construction clean-up, to include cleaning up dust and debris during or after construction projects.
• Safely use and maintain basic personal protective equipment such as hard hat , safety glasses, safety toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.
• Operate a motor vehicle to assigned work locations.
• Must complete and submit a 'Questionnaire for National Security Positions Standard Form (SF86)' packet within 90 days of employment as applicable for secret clearance.

Qualifications:

• Prior Floor Crew experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis .
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
