Job summary

Tessera is a national non-profit, government contractor dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities and veterans with disabilities. The Floor Crew role supports facility maintenance, safety, and cleanliness across sites.

The position offers full-time hours with day, swing, nights, and weekend shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and development through the organization.

Qualifications

• Prior Floor Crew experience is preferred.
• Must have valid state driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain Tessera insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
• REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative for access to federal installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and vacuuming.
• Operate floor care machines including powered pressure washer on various surfaces.
• Fill and empty mop buckets; mix chemicals as needed.
• Construction clean-up and dust/debris removal after projects.
• Safely use PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves).
• Operate a vehicle to assigned work locations.
• Complete required security questionnaires within 90 days, as applicable.

Location: Silverdale , Washington

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full Time, Swing Shift. May be requested to occasionally work variable shifts: Day, Swing, Nights, and Weekend Shifts.

Compensation: $ 2 3.22 -$ 2 3.22 per hour

Tessera is seeking a driven and reliable F loor C rew with a positive and professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform floor care work such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, reconditioning, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, carpet shampooing, and vacuuming.


• Operate floor care machines to include powered pressure washer on various structures (e.g., sidewalks, streets, parking lots, etc).


• Fill and empty mop buckets.


• Measure and mix chemicals.


• Construction clean-up, to include cleaning up dust and debris during or after construction projects.


• Safely use and maintain basic personal protective equipment such as hard hat , safety glasses, safety toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.


• Operate a motor vehicle to assigned work locations.


• Must complete and submit a 'Questionnaire for National Security Positions Standard Form (SF86)' packet within 90 days of employment as applicable for secret clearance.

Qualifications:

• Prior Floor Crew experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis .


• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.


• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.


• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking.


• Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.


• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
