Job summary

Tessera is seeking a General Maintenance Worker l for the Structural Shop in Silverdale, WA. This full-time, non-exempt role pays $25.39/hr and involves maintenance, basic upgrades, and collaboration with skilled trades to keep facilities safe and functional.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-3 years in general maintenance. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
• Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and balance.

• Apply touch-up paint, caulking, replace floor and ceiling tile, replace electrical outlets, switch covers and bulbs, repair/replace door hardware, clean roof drains and gutters.
• Assist skilled workers in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry work.
• Maintain and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Communicate with customer and supervisors, inform customer of repairs and determine needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
• Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.

Job Overview

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.

• Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.

Physical Requirements

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
