Qualifications

The Casino Cashier is responsible for controlling and accounting transactions at the cage windows. The Casino Cashier performs high-volume cash transactions and non-cash transactions for guests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. The Floor Attendant maintains cleanliness in all public areas of the Casino and responds to guest requests on the Casino floor.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary guest service with respect, passion, and dedication.
• Process credit and debit card advancements, cash personal checks, and exchange cash, chips, and tickets for guests.
• Process all transactions accurately and with integrity.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Enter patron transactions into the company computer system accurately.
• Prepare paperwork, balance sheets, and documents according to standards and procedures.
• Adhere strictly to department policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
• Apply accurate transaction and balancing practices.
• Transfer cash, chips, and checks between cages and/or departments accurately and efficiently.
• Demonstrate commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns.
• Promote positive relations with guests and team members at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within your area of responsibility.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of high-volume money handling or cashiering experience, preferably in casino or banking industry.
• Strong cash handling and counting skills.
• Proficient basic math skills with ten-key experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to create a positive, memorable entertainment experience for guests.
• Knowledge of computer systems, both company and vendor provided, at a proficient level.
• Commitment to exceeding responsibilities to achieve organizational goals.
• Outgoing personality with excitement and enthusiasm, maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Must be 21 or older and able to obtain a gaming license with the South Dakota Gaming Commission.
