Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming floor surfaces across our resident spaces. You will apply knowledge of hard surface maintenance, operate floor care equipment, and follow established cleaning procedures to support a healthy environment.

We value reliable, motivated team players who can lift up to 50 lbs, follow safety rules, and work varying shifts. Prior floor care experience is preferred; background check required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Must follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night.
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
