Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join the team in Wall, SD. You will help maintain clean, safe floors for residents and visitors, using industry-standard floor care methods.

The role requires knowledge of hard-surface and carpet floor care, ability to operate floor machines, and adherence to safety procedures. Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and able to work varying shifts with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience as floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, and burnishing.
• Operates floor care equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use and follows safety protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
