Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Floor Technician at Troy University Montgomery to deliver high-quality floor cleaning services, ensuring a safe, healthy environment for staff and students. This on-site role requires flexibility with shifts and a commitment to reliable attendance.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety practices, and operating heavy floor care equipment. Some experience with carpets, walls, and training others is preferred, with a strong focus on service quality.

Qualifications

• 12 months of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with floor care equipment and all phases of floor and carpet care preferred.
• Not Applicable (N/A).

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, polish, scrub, strip and refinish hard-surface floors using heavy equipment
• Vacuum, spot clean and extract carpeted floor surfaces
• May clean furniture and empty trash, linen, and garbage containers.
• May wash walls and maintain baseboards and cove base molding
• May assist in training other employees
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
