Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• One year of experience in floor care with primary responsibilities in carpet maintenance and hard surface cleaning.
• Equivalency notes: equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.
• Secure the work area and post safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work.
• Installs and replaces carpet and tile throughout the building as necessary.
• Cleans and maintains hard surfaces, carpeted areas, and upholstered furniture.
• Mops (dry and damp), buffs, and burnishes hard surface floors.
• Vacuums, shampoos, bonnets, and extracts carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and orders replacements as necessary. Maintains cleaning schedules and maintenance records.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance on specialty floor equipment.
• Monitors Floor Care Technician floors for cleanliness and damage.
• Secures all equipment and supplies in proper storage areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
