Job summary

The Floor Care Technician role at Sizemore Co. in Lake Zurich, IL, manages floor maintenance across hard surfaces and carpet, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing under supervision.

You will operate floor care equipment, follow safety procedures, report time and incidents, support a collaborative Building Maintenance team, and pursue ongoing training to grow with our growing facilities network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Some cleaning experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and work independently.
• Respectful communication with coworkers and store personnel in a multi-ethnic environment.
• Able to manage time to complete tasks within shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors and carpets including mopping, buffing, shampooing, and extraction.
• Operate floor care machines safely following manufacturer instructions.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents or injuries.
• Accurately report time worked via the phone timekeeping system.
• Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed and contribute to team goals.
• Provide guidance on floor care procedures when needed.
