Job summary

Sizemore is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain floors and carpets at client sites, operating floor care equipment safely and with attention to quality. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Some cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow simple instructions.
• Able to communicate respectfully with coworkers, customers and store personnel.
• Able to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Able to manage time to accomplish tasks in the time allotted.
• Responsible and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle hard floor care, including routine mopping, scrubbing, and buffing.
• Maintain carpets: vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting.
• Provide other cleaning services, such as dusting and restroom cleaning.
• Operate floor care machines safely and per manufacturer instructions.
• Follow all safety requirements at all times.
• Report to work on schedule and log time accurately.
• Interact respectfully with customers and personnel.
• Check equipment and ensure materials are available; inform supervisor of shortages.
• Follow instructions on daily cleaning projects.
• Report injuries immediately to supervisor.
• Assist with other duties periodically, including floor stripping.
• Support continuous improvement to increase productivity.
• Enforce Sizemore's policies and procedures.
