Job summary

Carlson Building Maintenance in Minnetonka, MN is hiring a Floor Care Technician to maintain hard floor surfaces, clean carpets, and operate floor care equipment in a large retail environment. The role offers an early-morning schedule with approximately 35 hours per week and training provided to help you succeed.

No floor care experience is required, but you must be at least 18, have reliable transportation, and be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull cleaning equipment.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous janitorial or floor care experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors and other floor care equipment.
• Clean and maintain hard floor surfaces with scrubbing and buffing.
• Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet and extract carpeted areas.
• Perform restroom and general cleaning duties as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and cleaning standards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional environment.
• Complete assigned cleaning projects independently and efficiently.
