Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense Services is seeking a Floor Technician to keep all facility floor areas clean, safe and well-maintained. Duties include cleaning carpets, hard surfaces, and other floor areas in accordance with SOPs.

Essential duties include sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing floors, vacuuming carpets, moving furniture, monitoring supplies, operating floor machines, and complying with PPE and chemical guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of floor cleaning experience required.
• Knowledge of various flooring surfaces and safe chemical use.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, strips and refinishes hard flooring surfaces per SOPs.
• Vacuums and scrubs carpeted surfaces as required.
• Moves furniture and returns items to original places after cleaning.
• Monitors supplies and requests cleaning solutions as needed.
• Operates floor machines and ensures they are clean and working.
• Handles cleaning chemicals with proper PPE and safety protocols.
• Reports maintenance needs to supervisor; participates in recycling.
• Operates forklifts or tuggers as assigned where applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
