Job summary

Environmental Service Systems, LLC is hiring a Floor Technician to scrub, shine, clean and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals.

The role involves operating machinery, moving heavy furniture, and following safety guidelines to prevent injuries, with on-the-job training provided.

You will support maintenance of floors according to schedules, prioritize tasks with the team, and help with inventory and supplies while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience or training in a floor technician type position.
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

Responsibilities

• Operate floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, floor machines, vacuums, burnishers, and carpet extractors.
• Dust mop; clean and burnish floors; strip, refinish, or recoat floors.
• Prioritize and coordinate with others to complete floor care within multi-trade projects.
• Provide daily preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as directed.
• Assist supervisor with inventory, supplies, and safety compliance.
• Assist with training of new employees in proper floor care methods.
• Assist with general cleaning duties as needed by supervisor
