Job summary

CBRE GDS is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain floor areas across the facility, including carpets and hard surfaces. You will follow standard operating procedures for cleaning, stripping, refinishing, and vacuuming, while moving furniture as needed and ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout the site.

The role requires at least 1 year of floor technician experience, flooring knowledge, forklift experience, and familiarity with ride-on scrubbers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a floor technician.
• Working knowledge of flooring surfaces and proper chemical/equipment use.
• Sit-down forklift experience required.
• Ride-on floor scrubber experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain carpets, hard surface floors, and other floor areas.
• Sweep, mop, strip, and refinish hard flooring per procedures.
• Vacuum and scrub carpeted surfaces per SOPs.
• Move furniture as needed and return items after completion.
• Monitor supplies and request cleaning solutions as needed.
• Keep floor machines clean and in proper working condition.
• Handle cleaning chemicals with PPE and safety guidelines.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate floor machines such as strip, buff, and deep-clean equipment.
