Job summary

Westgate Branson Woods Resort is seeking a detail-oriented Floor Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety of carpets, floors, and upholstery throughout the resort. The role involves operating cleaning equipment, managing moisture control, and applying finishes to surfaces.

The position offers an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shift and a pay rate of $18 per hour. A high school diploma or GED is required, with the possibility of career growth within Westgate Resorts.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check, drug test, and show eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets and floors in rooms and public areas.
• Clean carpets, upholstery, floors and accessories to remove smoke and water damage indicators.
• Wax and strip floors as needed.
• Operate cleaning machines and transport equipment to work sites.
• Set up safety signs before cleaning activities.
• Position fans and dehumidifiers to remove moisture.
• Verify moisture removal with sensors.
• Apply fabric conditioners, deodorizers, and disinfectants as needed.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with standards.
• Assist in training other staff in the department.

8AM-4:30PM SHIFT

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Floor Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of carpets, floors, and upholstery throughout the resort.

As the Floor Cleaning Technician, you will:

• Cleaning carpets and floors in rooms and public areas of the resort.
• Clean carpets, upholstery, floors and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew and excess water moisture.
• Must wax and strip floors as needed.
• Drives vehicles or golf carts with floor mounted or portable commercial carpet, upholstery and interior cleaning machines, tools and supplies to work site.
• Ensures that proper safety signs are set up prior to performing floor cleaning activities.
• Places fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room location to remove moisture from carpets, upholstery and air.
• Verifies moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor.
• Spray or fogs carpets, upholstery and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers and disinfectants.
• Inspect completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards.
• Assists in training of fellow employees in the department.
• Other duties assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Required to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift and move furniture safely.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
