Job summary

CHIMES INTERNATIONAL, LTD. is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform manual cleaning and maintenance of floor surfaces at our Washington, DC site. The role requires following contract specifications, safety rules, and proper use of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include floor care, inventory, and reporting as needed; the position is essential and may require shifts that support operation needs. High School diploma preferred; six months’ custodial experience recommended.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of Floor Technician experience preferred.
• Six months of Custodial experience.
• Knowledge of floor finishes, applications, and removals.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with contract specifications.
• Sweep, dust mop, and damp mop floors.
• Use wet vacs and vacuums for carpets and tile.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures when using any equipment.
• Strip, seal, wax, burnish, and buff floors; clean carpets as required.
• Pass and comply with building and security requirements and procedures.
