Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to maintain clean, safe floors across the manufacturing facility. You will operate the floor scrubber per schedules and safety rules. You will also clean and maintain the scrubber, assist Janitorial with other duties, and ensure proper waste disposal and PPE compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and clear English communication; multiple shifts are available.

JOB TITLE: FLOOR CARE SPECIALIST

SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly floors throughout the manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to operate the facility floor scrubber according to established schedules, procedures, and safety requirements. This position is also responsible for properly cleaning and maintaining the floor scrubber after use and assisting the Janitorial Department with general cleaning duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates the floor scrubber throughout designated manufacturing and facility areas to maintain clean and safe floors.
• Follows established floor-cleaning schedules, procedures, and work instructions.
• Performs routine floor-scrubbing activities throughout the plant.
• Cleans and properly maintains the floor scrubber after each use.
• Ensures the floor scrubber is properly stored and ready for its next use.
• Performs basic daily inspection of the floor scrubber and reports equipment problems or concerns to management.
• Identifies spills, debris, or other floor conditions requiring attention and takes appropriate action.
• Assists with keeping manufacturing and facility areas clean and orderly.
• Assists Janitorial personnel with cleaning breakrooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility areas as needed.
• Empties trash and garbage containers as assigned.
• Maintains cleaning supplies and notifies management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Properly handles and disposes of waste according to established procedures.
• Completes required departmental documentation.
• Follows required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and all applicable safety procedures.
• Maintains good attendance and a solid safety record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this position the employees regularly required to sit while operating a floor scrubber and to walk and stand throughout the facility. The employee must use hands and arms, reach, carry and move cleaning supplies or equipment, and occasionally bend, stoop, crouch, kneel or climb.
