Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to maintain clean and safe floors in the manufacturing facility. The role involves operating the floor scrubber per schedules, cleaning and maintaining the equipment, and assisting the Janitorial Department as needed.

This position emphasizes PPE adherence, safety procedures, and reliable work attendance. High school diploma or GED and English communication are required. Various shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must communicate in English with strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates the floor scrubber throughout designated areas to maintain clean and safe floors.
• Follows established floor-cleaning schedules, procedures, and work instructions.
• Performs routine floor-scrubbing activities throughout the plant.
• Cleans and properly maintains the floor scrubber after each use.
• Ensures the floor scrubber is properly stored and ready for its next use.
• Performs basic daily inspection of the floor scrubber and reports equipment problems to management.
• Identifies spills, debris, or other floor conditions requiring attention and takes action.
• Assists with keeping manufacturing and facility areas clean and orderly.
• Empties trash and garbage containers as assigned.
• Maintains cleaning supplies and notifies management when supplies need replenishment.
• Properly handles and disposes of waste according to procedures.
• Completes required departmental documentation.
• Follows PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Maintains good attendance and a solid safety record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
