Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a reliable Lead to ensure facility operations follow policies, supervise daily tasks, and guide the team when the Manager is absent. The role includes operating specialized equipment and expert floor care.

You will schedule work, coordinate with management, manage keys and access, report issues, and train new hires. A valid driver’s license and prior supervisory experience are preferred. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package and is a veteran-friendly employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
• 1 year of similar work experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards; report barriers.
• Oversee cleaning operations in assigned building.
• Takes care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken and out of work features/items.
• Oversee additional service requests in assigned building.
• Oversee quality of jobs and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Provide training for all new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform expert floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, sealing, and scrubbing various hard-surface floors; safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot heavy-duty floor care machinery.
