Job summary

Horizon Goodwill in Maryland is seeking a Floor Care Lead to supervise and perform floor maintenance across multiple contracted sites. The role combines hands-on cleaning with team leadership to meet high standards.

You will train staff, operate buffers, scrubbers, extractors and vacuums, plan weekly site rotations, and ensure safety compliance with OSHA guidelines while keeping equipment and supplies organized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of floor care experience (strip/wax, buffing).
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass background/drug checks.
• Experience supervising a team is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance or equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA Hazard Communications and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a floor care team across multiple sites.
• Perform floor maintenance including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing.
• Operate and train others on floor cleaning machines.
• Plan weekly assignments and site rotations.
• Maintain safety procedures and proper logbooks/documentation.
