Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Floor Technician in Hagerstown, MD to perform routine and thorough floor maintenance across multiple sites. The role includes cleaning, disinfecting, trash removal, and using diverse floor-care equipment.

Responsibilities cover carpet and hard floor care, waste disposal, and adherence to safety regulations. Flexible shifts and site-based travel may be required to support events and meetings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and comprehensive floor maintenance of assigned locations per Statement of Work (SOW).
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, cleans carpet and upholstery, strips and waxes tile, concrete, and terrazzo floors with various equipment and chemicals.
• Disinfects and cleans indoor and outdoor areas; orders and stocks facilities with supplies.
• Removes trash in accordance with procedures.
• Ensures safe work practices for maintenance and cleaning of surfaces.
