Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain clean and sanitary environments across our facility in Maryland. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and timely response to cleaning needs with opportunities for career growth and competitive pay.

Responsibilities include operating floor care machines, carpet cleaning, and assisting with resident areas. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• Able to operate floor care equipment such as buffers and auto-scrubbers.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate designated floor equipment including auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors to strip, scrub, shampoo and wax floors.
• Use automated floor cleaning equipment for cleaning large floor areas per schedule.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning and spot cleaning as needed.
• Move and set up equipment and cleaning supplies while maintaining safety procedures.
• Assist with cleaning common areas and resident spaces as required.
• Report maintenance problems promptly and adhere to infection control procedures.
