Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking qualified civil and environmental engineers to design, analyze, and oversee flood control projects, with emphasis on hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. You will prepare plans, conduct reviews, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance with County standards.

The role requires PE licensure or eligibility, CFMs, and a willingness to obtain required certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain in Utah within six months.
• CFM or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans using CAD for Flood Control projects.
• Perform design and analysis of hydraulic and hydrologic systems.
• Coordinate with County divisions, consultants, and public stakeholders.
• Prepare RFPs/RFQ documents and assess consultant proposals.
