Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Construction Manager to join our Resilience Water team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role will support a progressive design-build flood control project across four locations, serving as the primary liaison among contractor, design team, and project leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating technical reviews, resolving construction questions, supporting field activities, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery aligned with client

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design, construction, or construction management experience on water, stormwater, flood control, pump station, or related infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact between the design team, contractor, subcontractors, and project manager during construction.
• Support construction-phase services including RFIs, submittals, design clarifications, field changes, and technical issue resolution.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to review construction activities for alignment with design intent and contract documents.
• Participate in project coordination meetings, progress discussions, site visits, and construction-related planning activities.
• Help maintain clear project documentation, communication records, and timely follow-up on open technical and construction items.
