Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Stormwater/Stream Restoration Engineer to join the Resilience Water Team in Arlington or Richmond, Virginia. You will support and lead the development of stream restoration and ecological enhancement projects, interact with clients, and grow your technical and project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in stream restoration, natural channel design, or related water resources engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related field; EIT or PE license.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and manage stream restoration and watershed improvement projects.
• Lead tasks from concept through construction with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory coordination.
• Support field assessments, data collection, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
• Develop design plans including grading, stabilization, in-stream structures, and riparian enhancements.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies and contribute to proposals.
• Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality, health, and safety standards, and on-budget delivery.
