Magical Beginnings in Middleton, MA is seeking a Floating Teacher to support multiple classrooms, providing flexible coverage and maintaining high-quality care for infants to preschoolers.

You’ll help teachers with routines, classroom setup, and engaging activities, while adhering to schedules and safeguarding children’s well-being. This role requires energy, compassion, and commitment to early childhood development.

Qualifications

• EEC Teacher Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience required.
• Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting.
• Engaging and energetic demeanor and a love for helping young children meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage when teachers are out or on breaks.
• Assist with opening/closing of the classroom and cleaning tasks.
• Support teachers by preparing materials and engaging children during free play.
• Follow the daily schedule and supervise outdoor time.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organize supplies.
• Encourage participation with age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain professional development hours and PQ registry.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Foster positive relationships with students and parents.
