Flik Hospitality Group in Newark, NJ is seeking a Floating Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department for the United Airlines Lounges. You will travel and assist in the supervision, preparation, and cooking of a range of items, developing daily menus and ensuring garnish.

This role collaborates with the Local Executive Chef to develop new menus and assist with ordering, while supporting catering events at multiple airports including SFO, DEN, EWR, IAD and ORD.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is required.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is preferred.
• Catering experience and high volume operations experience are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Strong knowledge of food cost controls, sanitation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist with planning and creating menus for events.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary team.
