Job summary

Fairfield Residential is seeking a Floating Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain multiple residential communities in the Boston, MA region, including Chelsea, Peabody, Lawrence, Woburn, Milford, and Andover. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliances, supervise outside contractors, and ensure safety and cleanliness.

This role covers preventative maintenance, inspections, inventory management, and resident engagement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
HVAC-EPA Type II or EPA Universal license is required.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in various areas.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities.
Ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
Maintain exterior property for curb appeal.
Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
Conduct regular inspections of common areas and equipment.
Supervise duties and outside contractors in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
Assist with safety meetings and compliance with policies and regulations.
Report potential liabilities and ensure property compliance.
Maintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies.
Participate in resident functions and assist with posting notices.
