Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring a Flex Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients. The role involves monitoring premises, managing access, and delivering courteous service to employees and visitors.

You will patrol sites, respond to incidents, document reports, and work with the security team to uphold client policies and safety standards. No experience is required; training is provided to successful candidates who meet basic requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.
• HS diploma or GED or willingness to complete within six months.

Responsibilities

• Access Control: manage admittance to client sites, screen visitors, assist employees and guests.
• Customer Service: provide courteous, respectful, professional interactions reflecting on client and security team.
• Monitoring: observe entrances, exits, and remote access points; prevent unauthorized entry; direct disturbances calmly.
• Patrolling: inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for hazards, violations, or unsafe conditions.
• Incident Response: protect evidence, set up barriers, and respond to emergencies.
• Reporting: maintain logs, write reports, and communicate incidents to client representatives or authorities.
• Property Protection: ensure compliance with client policies and standards.
• Additional Duties: perform other tasks of similar scope as required.

The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Essential Functions

• Property Protection: Ensure property removal complies with client policies and standards.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks of similar scope as required by the site.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be available to work any day and any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to complete GED within six months)
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Reliable communication and transportation
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug test, background check)

Preferred Experience

• Prior security or related experience is a plus
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing environments
