Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment at client sites in Jefferson City, MO. You will perform access control, patrol procedures, report safety issues, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors throughout the shift.

Two available schedules include Tuesday nights 2230–0630 and a Flex Officer role Friday–Sunday 0600–1400 or 1400–2200, with a wage range of $15.00–$18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Above-average computer/technology skills are needed.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills are required.
• Must work independently and stay calm in stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance during shifts.
• Professional demeanor is essential.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and escalation.
• All candidates must pass the pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Able to complete long-distance foot patrols, including stairs and extended periods on foot.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds are completed.
• Front desk/access control duties such as badge creation, vehicle checks, and answering phones.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Use technology devices during shift (Vision phone).
• Conduct property tours covering several miles per shift.
• Carry out tasks of similar nature and scope as required for the site.

Primary Location: Jefferson City, MO

Wage Range: $15.00-$18.50/HR

Available Schedules

Security Officer - Tues: 2230 - 0630 (with the opportunity to help cover additional shifts as needed)

Flex Officer - Fri - Sun: 0600 - 1400 OR 1400 - 2200 (24 Hours Per Week)

Our Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.

• Conduct tours of the property about 7 - 10 miles per shift.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to complete long distance foot patrols, which can be spilt up (includes stairs) and Setting for long periods of time.
