If the idea of spending years covering the exact same geographic area doesn't excite you, keep reading.
Our Floating RN Visit Nurse position was built differently.
Instead of permanently assigning you to one territory, we'll deploy you to an area of our service region where additional nursing coverage is needed.
You typically spend approximately three months in that area —long enough to learn the territory, establish relationships, understand the patient population, and become part of the clinical team.
Then, when needs shift, so do you.
New territory.
New patients.
New team.
New challenges.
Let's make that distinction clear.
You aren't waking up every morning wondering which side of the Twin Cities you're driving to.
Our floating model is designed around extended territory assignments , typical"ling around three months at a time .
During each rotation, that becomes your primary coverage area.
You'll have the opportunity to settle into a rhythm, learn the geography, get to know your patients, and work closely with the team you're supporting.
Then you'll eventually transition to another part of our 21-county service area where your skills are needed.
A traditional Visit Nurse can become an expert in one territory.
A great Floating Visit Nurse becomes comfortable in all of them.
Over time, you'll experience different patient populations, communities, referral patterns, clinical teams, and coverage needs.
You'll learn how different parts of our service area operate.
You'll build relationships throughout the organization.
And you'll develop the confidence to enter a new territory and quickly figure out how you can help.
For an adaptable RN, that experience can make you an incredibly valuable member of a home health organization.
You don't simply get handed an address and figure everything out yourself.
You'll step into a territory with a purpose:
Provide additional nursing coverage where our patients and teams need it.
You'll begin learning the geography.
Getting familiar with the patients.
Working with the clinicians supporting that area.
Understanding where the greatest needs are.
And before long, what started as a new territory begins feeling familiar.
That's when you'll be doing some of your most important work—providing the consistency and coverage that helps keep patient care moving.
We need someone who can walk into a new territory without needing everything to look exactly like it did before.
Someone who learns quickly.
Someone who communicates.
Someone who can build rapport with a new patient.
Someone who can become a dependable teammate without needing six months to get comfortable.
And most importantly, someone whose quality of nursing doesn't change simply because the ZIP code does.
Previous home health nursing experience is especially valuable given the independence and adaptability required for this position.
For more than 30 years , Home Health Care, Inc. has provided skilled home health services throughout Minnesota.
We're an established, locally owned, Medicare-certified home health agency serving patients across a large and diverse geographic footprint.
That footprint creates opportunities.
It also creates moments when one area needs an experienced nurse more than another.
Our Floating Visit Nurses give us the flexibility to respond.
Spend a few months becoming part of one team.
Then bring everything you learned to another.
Meet new patients.
Learn new communities.
Build relationships throughout the organization.
And become the kind of nurse who can step into almost any part of our service area and confidently say:
I've got it from here.
If variety keeps you engaged and adaptability is one of your strengths, we'd like to hear from you.
One organization. Multiple territories. A nursing career that keeps moving.
