Job summary

A phlebotomist position is available for a healthcare services provider in Vancouver, WA. This contract role lasts 3 months, requiring on-site work and the ability to float among Vancouver, Portland, Beaverton, and Gresham locations.

Compensation is $20 to $23 per hour, with benefits and mileage paid where eligible. Hours are full-time, typically M-F, 6am–6pm, with schedule flexibility based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of experience in phlebotomy or specimen collection.
• Pediatric and geriatric experience required.
• Specimen processing experience required.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and maintain data and decontamination activities.
• Update patient information as required.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Follow physicians' orders for testing and specimens.
