Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Vancouver, WA. The position is full-time and on-site, with weekend/holiday coverage as needed. Compensation is $27 per hour plus benefits.

You will perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure proper handling and transport of samples to support diagnostic testing. The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience; some positions expect 5–7+ years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5–7+ years experience required (note: conflicts with earlier line).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and handle specimen storage.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures to patients as required.
• Follow physicians’ orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper temperature controls.
• Assist with troubleshooting and workflow improvements.
