Job summary

Labcorp is looking for a Float Phlebotomist to work in the Vancouver and Portland Metro areas. In this role, you will perform blood collections using both venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups and collect specimens for various tests.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Vancouver and Portland Metro areas.

Work Schedule

Hours vary Monday – Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm; overtime and rotating Saturdays may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P).
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Be at least 21 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more experience as a mobile phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay Range

$20.00 to $27.28 hourly.

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
