Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with a floating assignment across multiple Albany-area sites. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with start as early as 6:30am and finish as late as 5:30pm, averaging 8-hour shifts. Duration is 3 months with potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining patient data, with OSHA/DEP compliance. Requires certification and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifikationen

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.

Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles; verify physicians' orders; match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Prepare specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
