Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in the Austin, TX area with potential for permanent placement. The position involves performing venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining patient data across multiple locations in the Austin area.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, proper labeling, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. Requires current phlebotomy certification and 6+ months of venipuncture experience, with mileage expenses

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge and process specimens.
• Update patient information and maintain records.
• Ensure specimens are stored and transported per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer phone and communicate lab results.
