Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Medical Technologist (MLT/MLS) for a FLOAT position serving Newberry, Shrewsbury and Carlisle labs. This night shift (7P–7A), full-time role requires the ability to float between facilities and provide high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will perform tests, collect specimens, deliver results, and maintain strict safety and QA standards across departments. Travel to facility locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science is required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• PA Market: minimum 6 years core lab experience; Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests in all lab areas per established protocols to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collects and processes specimens and reports results.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance; troubleshoots issues to ensure proper functioning.
• Validates test results and supports QA processes; adheres to safety standards.
