Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations across potentially multiple clinics in Tennessee. The role focuses on data collection, patient prep, and efficient workflow support within established protocols.

The MA will assist physicians, perform basic nursing tasks, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate chart documentation to ensure quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• MA training program or accredited nursing program, or 1 year MA experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Gathers clinical data via direct care and/or telephone encounters and documents in the clinical record.
• Triages patients appropriately and informs physician/provider of issues promptly.
• Administers medications and performs CLIA waived testing as ordered.
• Assists with patient encounters including education and lab tests.
• Maintains sterile instrument processing and lab protocols.
• Schedules appointments and handles referrals and authorizations.
