Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Medical Assistant - Float to join our care teams. The MA will gather medical information, perform screenings and basic diagnostic testing, and support providers in clinical decisions across centers.

You will build relationships with members and ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation in the EMR. Ideal candidates have 1 year MA experience, CPR/BLS certification, and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• State or national certification or MA course completion.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets.
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by demographics.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and perform vital signs, screenings, and med reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Provide telephonic support and relay lab results or records.
• May administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests per state regs.
• Import documents into EMR.
• Participate in care team meetings and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers.
• Maintain quality control and infection control measures.
