Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our care teams across multiple centers. You’ll collect medical information, perform screenings, and support providers with efficient patient flow and documentation.

Responsibilities include vital signs, vaccinations, point-of-care tests, EMR data entry, and coordinating with care teams to enhance the patient experience and clinical outcomes. Strong communication and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• State or national certification required or completed medical assistant program.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Proficient computer skills across Gmail, Word/Docs, and Excel/Sheets.
• US work authorization.
• Ability to communicate in non-English languages as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow, take vital signs, screenings, and medication reviews.
• Inventory management for clinic supplies and exam rooms.
• Provide telephonic support for patient requests and lab results.
• Administer vaccines and point-of-care tests per state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR and participate in care team meetings.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment and request records as needed.
• Contribute to infection control and quality checks; perform other duties.
