Job summary

Spine Team Texas is hiring a Float Medical Assistant/Front Office for our Allen, TX clinic. This full-time, in-office role includes taking vital signs, collecting patient history, assisting with procedures and injections, and checking in patients with insurance details.

The candidate should have MA experience, strong English communication, and solid computer and data-entry skills. Travel within DFW is not specified for this position.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer experience and data entry.
• Excellent organizational & time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
• Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs: manual BP, temperature, weight and height.
• Collect and maintain accurate detailed Medical History of patients.
• Assist with minor in office procedures and injections.
• Collect urine samples for drug screenings.
• Draw up medications and administration of injections.
• Maintain and stock clinic rooms, pods and medications.
• Check in patients for appointments, collect insurance information, collect co-pays.
• Provide outstanding customer service via phone and in person.
• Prepare information for upcoming clinic visits and brief provider on current symptoms.
