Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler 2 for the Floater role on the 3rd shift at the AL-Rainsville site. The position involves operating forklift or crane, receiving inventory, moving materials, and coordinating with production and shipping teams.

The candidate will handle paperwork, barcode scans, and housekeeping while supporting continuous improvement and safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent or ACT WorkKeys at certified level.
• 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Preferred: 1 year operating mobile equipment in manufacturing/shipping.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Transports materials to designated areas.
• Participates in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Completes paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements.
• Performs housekeeping and 5S duties as assigned.
