Job summary

Avanti Residential is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple Denver-area communities. The role requires flexibility and frequent travel between locations, including after-hours on-call work to handle emergencies.

Responsibilities include preparing units for move-ins, completing work orders within 24 hours, and performing interior/exterior maintenance. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of experience and valid driver's licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• OSHA, EPA, and CPO licenses preferred.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
• Wonderlic pre‑employment assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report emergencies.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
• Complete grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping as needed.
• Manage snow removal or hurricane preparation and cleanup when required.
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills and clear communication with residents and vendors.
