Job summary

Investment Property Group is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to support multifamily communities in Minneapolis, MN and Burnsville, MN. The role focuses on timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and high standards across common areas.

The position pays $32.00–$36.00 per hour, full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and after-hours on-call rotation. Candidates must have 1+ years of relevant experience, own hand tools, a valid driver's license, and a team-oriented,

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units.
• Must supply own hand tools and be proficient with hand/power tools.
• HVAC, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Represent Investment Property Group in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy, safety standards and code.
• Track inventory and notify supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Perform general community and facilities maintenance with minimal supervision to meet quality standards.
• Promote positive resident relations and fair, consistent treatment during interactions.
• Assist with inspections and upkeep of the property and all common areas daily.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Contribute to occupancy goals and promote quality living experience for residents.
• Support management in developing more efficient maintenance methods.
• Participate in after-hour and emergency coverage rotation schedule.
