Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Floating Executive Director to provide leadership, stability, and operational support to senior living communities across Indiana. Must hold a licensed Administrator (HFA) or Residential Care Administrator (RCA) credential and be prepared to step into multiple sites as needed.

You will lead clinical and non‑clinical operations, champion QAPI and compliance, oversee recruitment and budgeting, and communicate with residents, families and staff to sustain

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living operations including QAPI, performance metrics, and crisis management.
• Strong understanding of Federal and State guidelines and resident rights.
• Budget development, cost control, and resource allocation.

Are you an experienced senior living leader who thrives on making a difference across multiple communities? We are seeking a Floating Executive Director to provide leadership, stability, and operational support to senior living communities when and where it is needed most. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who enjoys variety, builds strong relationships, and can quickly step into a community and make a positive impact for residents, families, and team members.

Skills Required:

• Leadership and Management: Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operations in senior living including QAPI, performance metrics, outcome management, crisis management and problem solving. The ability to plan and execute staff recruitment, retention, and team development while inspiring, motivating and holding teams accountable.
• Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Federal and State guidelines. Advocate for resident rights, safety, and quality standards. Deep understanding of risk management and compliance monitoring.
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance reimbursement and management. The champion and leader of revenue growth and census development as well as budget development, oversight, cost control and resource allocation.
• Communication and Relationship Building: The ability to build trust with residents, families, staff and community partners. Skilled at handling sensitive and emotional situations with empathy.

Requirements

• Must be licensed Administrator (HFA) or Residential Care Administrator (RCA).
• 2-3 years of Executive Director leadership experience.
• Must have experience in health, human services and/or community services field.
• Must be available to work varying hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work at various locations throughout Indiana when needed.
