Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a hands-on Retail Manager to lead café and retail dining operations in our Orlando area hospital cafés.

You will hire, train, and coach a team, ensure quality food, guest-focused service, and manage costs, scheduling, and cash controls. Healthcare experience is not required but hospitality background is essential for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading restaurant, café, hotel dining, or retail foodservice operations; 1–3 years of management preferred.
• Hospitality mindset with ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• Experience with cash operations, labor planning, budgets, and food cost controls.
• Eyes for food quality, presentation, and retail marketing.

LOCATION & FLEXIBILITY:

Must be based in the Orlando area and available to travel to support accounts throughout the Florida region as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Bring fresh ideas to promotions, merchandising, catering, and special events.
• Manage costs, monitor financial performance, and complete operational reports on time.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, portioning, and cash‑handling standards.
• Build strong relationships with guests, clients, and account teams.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Experience leading restaurant, café, hotel dining, or retail foodservice operations; one to three years of management experience preferred.
• A hospitality mindset and the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• Experience with cash operations, labor planning, budgets, and food cost controls.
• An eye for food quality, presentation, and retail marketing.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in foodservice management or a related field, or an associate degree with three years of related experience, preferred.
• P&L accountability and contract foodservice experience are a plus.
