Job summary

Chesapeake Montessori is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters/Aides to support in all age groups. The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks, with childcare experience a plus.

Typical shift is Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, offering a competitive hourly wage and a benefits package. You will assist lead teachers, help with activities, and contribute to a safe, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Compensation: $16-17/hr, based on education and experience
