Job summary

Chesapeake Montessori is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters/Aides to support in all age groups. A high school diploma and ability to pass background checks are required; childcare experience is a plus. Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in classroom activities aligned with center philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities supporting emotional, social, cognitive, creativity, and physical development.
• Receive direction, accept feedback, and implement improvements for program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children.
• Build professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Maintain mobility around small children: sit, stand, walk, run, climb stairs.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and meet all physical requirements.

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspectsof the classroomin a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development.
